0:39~ JYH: Since we had a big success from the start, the expectation toward us is getting higher, we feel burdened more. When we promoted ‘I’m a loner’, we had an original intention.  So we tried to go back to our original intention and tried to enjoy, just like how we love music itself.

1:12~ KMH: When l listened to it (Hey You) for the first time, I thought that it was perfectly our song and I was touched. Since it (Hey You) contains the cheerful and bright rhythm and melody and touching lyric to hold on to a missing lover who left behind, I feel like it (Hey You) is such a good song.

1:32~ JYH: Until now we have been keeping the same feeling of the title song as well in this album. When we talked with our CEO and our agency, we agreed that we would keep our CNBLUE style till this album without much change. Instead of acting for drama, for the first time I will take a rest for 2 to 3 months and will focus on producing music. During these 2-3 months I will work on the music which will be included in the next album.

2:20 JYH: We are all blood A except Jonghyun. When I let members listen to songs I composed. I could know what they thought about my song just by seeing their eyes. If it was really good, they said “it’s
awesome. It’s the best”. But if they were not satisfied, they said “it’s good”. I tried to rearrange it.

2:50~ LJS: I don’t expect much achievement for this album, instead we will enjoy with people and fans who have been waiting for us.

3:00 JYH: You might laugh at it (my dream). My dream is to top in Billboard chart with my own music. We had good timing so we have been achieving this dream little by little. I’m happy about it and I learn a lot every day.  We had tour abroad including USA.  We’ve done well thanks to good timing, but from now on, I want to climb higher with our music

3:40 JYH: Many bands whom I like will compete in ‘Top Band’ (name of audition variety show in Korea). I want to compete with them. It’s not because of competition but because it will be meaningful to have relation with many bands and to perform together with them.

4:20 JYH: Many people are expecting my hand gesture for title song. I have restriction in live stage because I have to play guitar.  All the gesture I’m thinking is what I’ve already done. I can’t think of anything new, so I’m worried every night. I asked my dongsaeng for new and fresh idea for new gestures. You will find out it at our first music show.
LJH: Not long ago, I saw him studying gesture wearing a sleeveless shirt.  I feel hurtful for it because I can’t be much help of him.
JYH: When we did I’m a loner, I did a daring gesture without any practice and without fear. But it was a beginning. I feel burdened more and more. This is the most stressful time to prepare gestures. I even practiced in front of mirror.  I will study hard, and will show you a nice gesture at our first TV show.

SECRET TALK WITH CNBLUE

Boy Band CNBLUE is featured in ViVi Magazine and had an interview.

As we promised, we will post the translation of the interview once it is up, so you can now read the interview of CNBLUE in English below.

ViVi is monthly girl’s fashion magazine. CNBLUE received “ViVi dream prize” at GDA (Golden Disk Awards).
Q. What motivated you guys to start band?

• YH: When I was in a junior high school, I had a friend who was good at guitar. I asked him “please teach me”.
• JH: At first I was singing alone, but when I saw Eric Clapton-san, I thought I wanna play guitar. Besides, I saw Bon Jovi-san, I thought I wanna play as a band.
• JS: When I was in a junior high school, I saw Billy Sheehan-san, Mr.BIG bassist, and then I was into playing bass.
• MH: Since I saw MAROON5-san, US rock band. Vaguely I started playing drums though, when I saw QUEEN, Roger Taylor-san, I was into playing drums. I thought it’s cool to sing while playing drums.

Q. What’s the happiest episode when you guys got Japan major debut?

• YH: It is we could hold live concert at Yoyogi Gymnasium.
• MH: I was happy when I saw an AD track of our CD running in the city!

Q. What’s the difference between the music industry in Japan and Korea?

• YH: In Japan there’re lots of bands, “ippai“(many) bands exists even in ranking chart. There’re many dance groups in Korea.

Q. About “Where you are”, what’s the focal point do you guys want us to listen carefully?

• YH: I still choose chorus part. It’s filled with the song theme, “someone who got frustrated with his dream, stand up again”.

Q. Please let us know your impression when you got “ViVi Dream Prize”.

• YH: Of course we felt happy.
• MH: Among “ippai“ (many) artists, we are happy to get such a fine trophy.

Q. What do you have an impression about “ViVi”?

• MH: I have an image of magazine for cute girl. We can find ViVi often at Korea too, so I’m honored we can appear on such popular magazine.

Q. What song do you recommend for ViVi readers, who are in love?

• YH: “Love Light”, it’s in our Korea 2nd album “BLUELOVE”.

Q. What song do you often hear before sleep?

• JH: I often listen to blues. Like John Mayer-san or Eric Clapton-san.
• JS: Rachel Yamagata-san. because it’s quite songs.

Q. What song did you listen before coming here today?

• YH: Nothing. I was sleeping in a car.
• JH, JS: It’s “Where you are”.
• MH: I listened to ONE OK ROCK-san song.

Q. What Japanese song do you want to cover?

• JS: ONE OK ROCK-san song. Then, I want to cover L’Arc~en~Ciel-san “Driver’s High”.

Q. Where do you get an inspiration of composing?

• YH: From watching various dramas and movies.

Q. Please let me know an episode of song that you made recently.

• JH: My songs are almost ballads, but I wanna make a song that we can be excited during live, so I made “Get Away”. This is the first song that has such fast tempo.

Q. To whom do you reveal your song(s) first?

• JH: Members. They say “good song” tentatively, but I can know their real impression just from seeing the look in their faces.

Q. When did you compose your first song? / When did you start composing?

• JH: When I was in 2nd year of senior high school.

Q. What Japanese lyric was difficult to sing?

• JH: “sorezore” (*It’s in “In My Head” JH part) is hard to sing for example. Besides, English was also hard to pronounce for me. The lyrics of “In My Head” “I wanna” is different from Korean pronunciation, so I had a hard time.

Q. What’s the difference between live performance on the street and big venue?

• JH: I like small venue too. But I’m nervous at there, because the audience are near.

Q. What do you guys do before your live performance?

• JH: Shouts (yell). We say like “Let’s play and dedicate our life!”

Q. What animal can you compare to members on stage?

• MH: YH hyung is monkey because he runs around the stage. He runs too much. So, I’m worried about whether he can get back to his position (laugh). JH hyung is turtle because he often shrugs his neck while he is playing. JS is calf (child cow). He’s long leg, inner thigh standing, like calf.
• JS: MH is small bird.  His way of waving neck while playing drums, is like a small bird who get a food from his mother.

Q. What are you doing if you were not a member of CNBLUE.

• YH: I’m still a trainee of our office.
• JH: Athlete. I was doing Judo, I was going to go into high school as sports recommender.
• JS: College student studying photo, or model.
• MH: I think I’ll become a college student.

Q. What do you think CNBLUE will do 10 years after?

• YH: I wanna keep playing music.

Q. Please explain yourself in one word.

• YH: I have various faces. Like a chameleon (laugh).
• JH: Manly. I wanna be so!
• JS: “diverse”? Besides, I’m the youngest in CNBLUE, so I’m a mood maker (laugh).
• MH: I easily get worried. I’m always thinking of so many things.

Q. What’s your favorite girls’ fashion?

• YH: I like a girl who can choose her clothes according to “TPO“(time, place & occasion). If we’ll go outdoor, then should wear “rough” clothes for example.
• JH: I don’t care, because I’m not so interested in fashion. It’s enough if she wears the clothes that fit herself.
• JS: I like a girl who dresses cool on white sweater with skinny jeans.
• MH: I like simple one. Flashy is.. (I don’t like).

Q. What fashion item do you have the most?

• YH: Watch. Before I like ring, but I don’t like it now anymore. I don’t know why, because I got old?
• JH: ’80s British items? It’s like easy but cool.
• JS: I like black. 70% of my items are black.
• MH: Watch.

Q. What’s your favorite part of your face?

• YH: A mole in my left eye lower eyelid. In Korea, it is said that it’s not good to have a mole under eyes, but I like it.
• JH: Eh! Its eyes and white skin.
• JS: My answer is “none” though people around me said that I have good eyes or lips.
• MH: Honesty, nothing. I don’t like my small eyes. If I’m forced to say, skin.

Q. What something do you want the most now?

• YH: Nothing.
• JH: Guitar. I have a red one, then I wanna clean color one, like an emerald green.
• JS: New bass.
• MH: No matter what kind of one, I want a car because I can go anywhere.

Q. What stuff does you always carry with you?

• YH: Earphones. Using to listen to music or watch drama with iPad. If I have earphones, wherever I am I can immerse myself in it.
• JH: iPad. I’m surfing internet.
• JS: iPad. Watching Japanese drama and movies.
• MH: Wallet and iPad.

Q. Who do you like Japanese actress/star?

• YH: Aoi Yuu-san! She has good smile.
• JH: Aragaki Yui-san. I watched her drama, she so “kawaii desune~” (cute).
• JS: Takeuchi Yuko-san. I can’t forget my impression of drama “Pride”. I wanna marry with such lady.
• MH: Horikita maki-san. I knew her unexpectedly by magazine, I thought she’s “kawaii na~” (cute).

Q. What do you do when you wanna be relax?

• YH, JS, MH: sleep!
• JH: compose songs.

Q. What do you do always when you come to Japan?

• All: We necessarily eat gyodon and ramen.

Q. What’s your most favorite food in Japanese?

• YH: Ramen.
• JH, JS: Tebasaki.
• MH: Hamburg steak. Is it not Japanese food!?
• (*I think MH & JS answer should be reverse, maybe)

Q. What do you wanna do if you have a 1 week holiday?

• YH: I wanna go to “onsen“(hot springs).
• JH: “ippai netai”(I wanna sleep a lot).
• JS: I wanna go on a drive.
• MH: I wanna go to “onsen” and wanna “nonbiri” (relax).

Q. When do you feel the happiest?

• MH: When I’m playing live perform. Because I can enjoy it with fans!

Q. Who’s the most “moteru” (popular) guy in four?

• JS: Still YH hyung. “ikemen dakara” (because He’s handsome)(laugh).

Q. Who’s the most trained his body?

• YH: JH. His hobby is exercise.

Q. Who wakes up the most early?

• JH: JS and MH.

Q. Who stays up late the most?

• MH: YH hyung and JH hyung.

Q. Who eats a lot the most?

• JS: YH hyung and me.

Q. If you go on a date in Korea with Japanese girl, where will you go?

• YH: I was born in Busan, so I’ll go to 海雲台(haeundae). There’s a resort spot being develop these days, there’s lots of foreigners, fashionable place.
• JH: I was born in Busan too, then I’ll go to 松島(songdo) beach. That’s a beautiful sandy beach.
• JS: I’ll go on a driving date to 湖水(hosu) park located in 一山(ilsan), suburbs of Seoul.
• MH: Haneul park, located in World Cup park in Seoul. It’s in a high place, so the landscape is very beautiful.

CNBLUE Kang Min Hyuk Expresses his Gratitude towards Jung Yong Hwa

CNBlue’s Kang Min Hyuk will finally make his grand appearance in the hit weekend drama KBS’s “My Husband Has a Family” (aka “You Rolled in Unexpectedly”) this Saturday, March 17. In the series, he will play Kim Nam Joo’s younger brother named Cha Se Kwang. Kang Min Hyuk’s character is described as a natural player who can captivate women’s hearts regardless of their age. He’s also a charismatic and loyal friend.

Producers stated, “Kang Min Hyuk completed his first filming at club M2 in Hongdae on March 13. The shoot started at 8PM and lasted four hours. His amiable personality allowed his to quickly befriend actress Oh Yeon Seo despite meeting and working with each other for the first time. “

Kang Min Hyuk expressed, “I recently came back form the States after performing a joint concert with F.T. Island and CNBlue. Even when I was abroad, I didn’t skip out on watching ‘My Husband Has a Family. I was constantly thinking and practicing on how to make my first appearance as memorable as possible.” He also expressed his gratitude towards bandmate Jung Yong Hwa. Kang Min Hyuk continued, “Jung Yong Hwa, who has a lot of acting experience, practiced with me, so I was able to focus more and get comfortable with it.''

Meanwhile, “My Husband Has a Family” airs every Saturday and Sunday on KBS at 7:55PM KST.

CNBLUE’s comeback in new album and dramas, gains attention by working in various areas

Before CNBLUE is set to the final process for their Korean comeback, recently Lee Jong Hyun is confirmed to be cast for a drama following Kang Min Hyuk’s footsteps.

Kang Min Hyuk is cast for KBS weekend Drama “My Husband Got a Family” which is popular with 30% of viewership rating and he will play the role of an attractive playboy. He will appear in the upcoming 8th episode.

Lee Jong Hyun is confirmed to be cast for the upcoming SBS weekend drama “A Gentleman’s Dignity” which will be aired in May. Kim Eun Sook and Shin Woo Chul who are the writer & the director of “Lovers of Paris”, “City Hall” and “Secret Garden” will work together once again. The drama is highly anticipated by viewers ahead of its broadcast due to the casting of many Korean top stars such as Jang Dong Gun, Kim Ha Neul, Kim Min Jong, Kim Soo Ro and Kim Min.

~ “What do you think about Japanese girls?” ~

- they first came to Japan in June, 2009,since then, they often revisit the place. We asked them about “Japan”. -

YH: I have an impression, how “yasashii” (tender, kindly) Japanese girls are.

My impression about Japan did not change. Whenever we played on the street under the hot sun, I still can remember what had happened in the past like it was just yesterday (laugh). Since then, I could say that we improved and we can now also hold tour in Japan, I am deeply grateful. During our Japan tour, our delight is trying “gotouchi gourmet” (local cuisine)! I feel wherever we go we get to taste delicious foods. I just enjoy being in Japan!

JH: Thanks to the fans who are excited with our live performance!

We could hold many live (concert) in Japan. When we were indies, we perform street live and at small live houses, we experienced live (concert) many times! So, for me, my impression is, Japan = live (concert). And then finally we could perform at Yoyogi Gym, a place we longed for, last Dec. I felt really happy and had fun! I remembered our street live at Yoyogi Park, near there.

JS: (Japanese girls are) all fashionable and really pretty! 

I think all of us think the same. We studied music in Japan, and so we have a strong feeling towards Japan! At that time we had lots of hard experiences, but it was an important time for our teamwork to grow. Included is such a thankful feeling. I hope that we can hold live (concert) many times in Japan. I think our fans who can come to our live, are really fashionable.

MH: (Japanese fans) are always excited with our live performance. I’m really happy!

When we were studying in Japan, we were always worried about money (laugh). We were living with quite a small allowance, so we couldn’t stop feeling hungry! So, now when we eat meals in Japan, it feels especially delicious. My favorite is Tebasaki (chicken wings)! Now, such meals give us the energy for our live performance. I always look forward in going to Japan.

~ "Apa pendapatmu tentang gadis-gadis Jepang?" ~- 

Mereka pertama kali datang ke Jepang pada bulan Juni 2009, sejak itu, mereka sering mengunjungi tempat itu. Kami bertanya kepada mereka tentang "Jepang". -

YH: Aku punya kesan, bagaimana "Yasashii" (lembut, baik hati) gadis Jepang.

Kesan saya tentang Jepang tidak berubah. Setiap kali kami bermain di jalan di bawah terik matahari, aku masih ingat apa yang telah terjadi di masa lalu seperti itu hanya kemarin (tertawa). Sejak itu, saya dapat mengatakan bahwa kita meningkat dan kita sekarang dapat juga mengadakan tur di Jepang, saya sangat berterima kasih. Selama tur Jepang kita, kesenangan kita sedang mencoba "gourmet gotouchi" (masakan lokal)! Saya merasa di mana pun kita pergi, kita bisa mencicipi makanan lezat. Saya hanya menikmati berada di Jepang!'

Kita bisa terus hidup banyak (konser) di Jepang. Ketika kami indies, kami melakukan jalan hidup dan di live house kecil, kita mengalami hidup (konser) berkali-kali! Jadi, bagi saya, kesan saya adalah, Jepang = hidup (konser). Dan akhirnya kita bisa tampil di Yoyogi Gym, tempat kita merindukan, Desember lalu aku merasa sangat bahagia dan bersenang-senang! Aku ingat jalan kami tinggal di Yoyogi Park, dekat sana.

JS: (cewek Jepang) semua modis dan benar-benar cantik!

Saya rasa Kami berpikir sama. Kami belajar musik di Jepang, jadi kami memiliki perasaan yang kuat terhadap Jepang! Pada saat itu kami punya banyak pengalaman keras, tapi itu saat yang penting bagi kita kerja tim untuk tumbuh. Termasuk adalah suatu perasaan bersyukur. Saya berharap bahwa kita dapat terus hidup (konser) berkali-kali di Jepang. Saya pikir fans kami yang bisa datang ke hidup kita, benar-benar modis.

MH: (penggemar Jepang) selalu gembira dengan kinerja hidup kita. Saya sangat senang!

Ketika kita sedang belajar di Jepang, kami selalu khawatir tentang uang (tertawa). Kami hidup dengan uang yang sedikit, jadi kami tidak bisa berhenti merasa lapar! Jadi, sekarang ketika kita makan makanan di Jepang, rasanya sangat lezat. Favorit saya adalah Tebasaki (sayap ayam)! Sekarang, makan seperti memberi kita energi untuk live performance kami. Saya selalu berharap untuk pergi ke Jepang.

Super Junior to Open Exclusive Concert in France Tickets Open on March 9

Super Junior will have the “SUPER JUNIOR WORLD TOUR SUPER SHOW 4 in PARIS” on April 6 at “Le Zenith de Paris.” The concert is more meaningful because it is the first time that a Korean idol group is holding an exclusive concert in France. “Le Zenith de Paris” is also where the SM TOWN Live Paris concert was held.

Super Junior is planning on performing their hit songs and showing a high quality stage for the concert. They have already proven their popularity through their performances during the SM TOWN LIVE Paris concert in June.

Ticket sales for the Super Junior concert will begin on March 9 through Live Nation. (www.livenation.fr)

Currently Super Junior is continuing a leg of their world tour on March 9-10 at the Venetian Hotel in Macau.
